What makes you a good email marketer?
Sales. It comes down to nothing else other than that. The more sales you get, the better you are. The thing is though, the devil is in the details.
To get sales, you have to get people to buy offers. To get them to buy offers, you have to at the very least get them to click through to the sales page…
…to get them to click through to the sales page, you have to get them to read your email copy and actually give a crap about what you're saying…at least a little bit…
…and to get them to do that…to read anything you wrote…
…you have to get them to open your email.
And I can tell you there are two advantages you can unlock when it comes to getting people to open your emails.
One of them, you can unlock immediately, and the other takes time to attain. You have to unlock it slowly, like the way you grow Asparagus.

The only way you unlock that advantage is with consistent publishing to your email list. You have to email them regularly and you have to be consistent with your value.
Keep in mind, value can be several things. It’s not necessarily (and these days I’d say rarely needs to be) straight actionable content. You don’t need to hard teach.
I’ve actually written a whole book right here on Substack concerning value. You can find more about that here:
The Trappings of Value and What It Is
But what about the second advantage?
The second advantage is a great subject line. Do it right and you unlock this advantage immediately. Do it wrong, and nobody cares. Another wasted opportunity, sitting ignored in someone’s spam folder.
So how do you do it?
How do you write the PERFECT SUBJECT LINE?
Two) The Perfect Subject Line
The perfect subject line is actually fairly simple to pull off, and like many of the perfect solutions in our world it comes down to something very simple…
