Pick ‘ems and practice…
Well, it’s about 9:18 am eastern time here in the great state of Ohio as I write this email to you today. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and as sure as the sky is blue…
…the lawn mowers are mowing. See, I mowed my grass yesterday, and now you know…it’s like my neighbors have “24 hours to respond!”
That’s the game within the game of summertime neighborhood lawn mowing around here. Lol, anyways…
As I type this I find my eyes drifting over the Cleveland Browns 2025 football game schedule. I’m talking NFL football here. I’m looking at the games my Brownies are going to be playing.
I see The Bengals, maybe a win. Could be able to catch them if they aren’t prepared. Probably a loss.
Then the Ravens. Gonna have to have our crap together to win this game in Baltimore, but it is possible with Flacco under center…
Then the Packers in Cleveland. Hmm, the Packers made the playoffs last year and lost in the wild-card round to the Eagles. But the Browns didn’t even come close to the playoffs. New year though. It’s possible. But probably a loss.
And I go on through the whole 17 game season. I try to put on my logical hat and take off my “homer” hat that tells me my team could probably realistically win ALL these games…
…if they show up and do what they are supposed to on Sunday. Any given Sunday. That’s the saying in the NFL. A nod to the parity that exists in the league.
BUT…
None of this really matters. The truth is I have no idea what is going to happen in those games. And that is part of the fun. Trying to pick wins and losses on a NFL Football schedule before the season has started is…
…just about impossible.
You just aren’t going to know until you see that team go out there and play that first game. Not the pre-season games. Not the summer camp. Not the practices.
Real games against real teams with real stakes.
It’s the only way.
It’s no different for you and your business.
Experience outranks everything. You think you have a good idea? Try it and see what happens. You won’t really know unless you do.
Speculation is far less valuable than actual data from your own tests.
And that goes double for something like affiliate marketing. I put a Lazy Man’s Guide out on this a while ago, and if you are interested in getting better at affiliate marketing…
…especially low-ticket affiliate marketing, it’s a great place to get started or build on your ever-loving action taking knowledge.
You can find er’ here:

That’s all I got!

P.S. It’s fine if you want to respond back to this email and tell me how bad the Cleveland Browns are, but don’t think I haven’t heard it all before, lol. I am a third generation Browns fan. Trust me, I’ve heard it all before.
